Columbus Movers Celebrate International Women’s Day

March 8th is International Women’s Day, a holiday celebrated by countries around the world to recognize the achievements of women and the fight towards gender equality. As part of our National Women’s Month campaign and to celebrate International Women’s Day, we will be highlighting some of the incredible organizations dedicated to promoting women in the Columbus community.

Dress For SuccessDress for Success is a non-profit organization that empowers women through free-of-charge suiting and career programs. The organization fosters achievement and growth of women by giving the the resources to achieve their goals.

In Christy’s Shoes

In Christy’s Shoes in an organization that supports women facing adversity by raising funds for integral programming. They provide counseling resources, career resources, motivational support, and much more for women facing challenges such as homelessness, unemployment, domestic violence, etc. In Christy’s Shoes is an incredible support network, and E.E. Ward is proud to support them.

Women’s Fund of Central Ohio

The women’s fund of Central Ohio is committed to fighting for social change and gender equality. They are connected to the Women’s Funding Network, the world’s largest philanthropic network in the world dedicated to supporting women and girls. They provide research to inform and affect policy, tools to disrupt social norms and the grants to build capacity.

Girls on the Run

Our very own co-owner, Dominique Brooks, recently became a coach for Girls on the Run, an organization that inspires young girls to be joyful, healthy and confident by running. They envision  a world in which every girl pursues their limitless potential.
