Columbus mover E.E. Ward Moving & Storage has been selected as a finalist for theMinority Business Enterprise (MBE) of the Year Award. The finalists were invited to the Columbus City Council where they were recognized “On behalf of the citizens of the City of Columbus” as a MBE of the Year finalist. The Certificate of Recognition reads, “We commend you for your dedicated efforts to share your insight, business innovation and success with others. We wish you continued success in every endeavor.”
The award is in connection with the “Minority Business Week” designated by Mayor Michael B. Coleman. MBE week highlights the significance of entrepreneurship and includes the 2014 Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference. Co-owner Brian Brooks was a conference panelist where he was joined by the other finalists in discussing their challenges, successes, and defining moments as small business owners.
